Lizz and Little Sister Haley have been a Big/Little Sister match for over six years! They see each other at least once a week, more if it’s summer, Christmas, or March break. Their time together is spent reading books, sharing ideas, watching tv shows, shopping at the mall, baking, and just hanging out.
“I never could have told you the impact she would have had on me when I started, but now she’s one of my best friends and I rely on her often. I find I need her just as much as she needs me most days. I’ll call her up on a whim or she will call me. During the time we’ve been together we’ve gone through a lot that could have ripped us apart but instead it’s brought us closer. I have lost my dad and gotten married! When I met my husband and we started to date I had to make sure she would like him too, because her opinion means so much to me. At my wedding she made the most incredible speech which left no eye in the room dry. Weeks later at her graduation (where she made the honour roll and was valedictorian), she said in her speech that I was the most influential person in her life. I never knew. I thought we were just hanging out each week.”
